Migraine
Meanwhile there is strong evidence for TMS effect at certain forms of magraine. As a cause of aura migraine is to be seen a slowly expanding depolarization of the cortex, beginning focussed. With TMS the expansion can be slowed or stopped. Treaing migraine with TMS is hitherto an option and alternative for medicaments (Triptans). The depolarization seems to be also relevant for non-aura migraine. Therefore TMS is also an option for these patients.

- Single-pulse transcranial magnetic stimulation for acute treatment of migraine with aura: a randomised, double-blind, parallel-group, sham-controlled trial
